Couples need to make sure that they have time for each other. For example it is important to be a lover aswell as a parent. Things like a weekly date night where the parents go out on a date, or even a movie night just for parents when the kids go to bed.
Only the dedication to each other will keep a relationship alive through and past children.
You only get out of it what you put into it.

Treat eachother like a couple - not like "mom" and "dad". Another thing is you need to make time to do things as a couple. At least once a week or a couple times a month, you both need to go out and spend an evening together or even a weekend alone at home with no kids. Get a sitter or leave the kids with grandma and enjoy some time alone - do things you used to love doing, take a mini-vacation, or just lounge at home together without the kids - but whatever you do, make sure it's alone and make sure you are spending time together!

There is "your time, my time and family time." and each given time must be respected! then and only then will you have a thing called," our time".

They don't. They made their bed, now they have to lie in it.
