i know, i know, sounds 'anti-social' with a so many emotional and psychological implications, but i really am just fully content with just staying home by myself and just watching television

The quick answer is no. You are content. I like that word. So many people follow happiness off a cliff. You can continue your life this way until you can not work. Then you can continue to watch TV until you cannot see and hear. Then you can remember your favorite shows until you are dead.

The slow answer. Who we are and what we want change as we experience new things. If you are now content to not change you will not. Do you remember being discontent? Do you have or did you have ambition. Passion motivates. Passion brings change, change is fertile ground for growth, growth builds fulfillment.

Television is addictive. Try turning off your television and sitting quietly with it nearby. Notice how you feel. How you need the remote in your hand or the background noise. With the TV on try this: In darkness turn the sound down, move to a different room so that you cannot see the screen and watch the pulsing light that comes from the TV. This is what draws you and makes you content.

It doesn't sound anti-social or have emotional or psychological implications. What you do is normal. You work hard, make money, and then chill at the end of the day. You should be proud rather than analytical.

Take care!

Nothing wrong with that--on workdays, when you need to get up early the next day. On your days off, however, you should go out. It can be just walking, a drive to the country, a visit with family or friends, lunch out (restaurant or picnic), a movie, bowling, etc.

I had a friend who stayed in even on her days off--and she really regretted it. She realized as she grew older, that she had wasted so much precious time just staying home. There are so many things to do and see--and life is short!!

Be well, and good luck :)

Im not really sure that thats wrong, but you probably dont want to be doing that do you? I know it can be exhausting during the week. But if you dont work on the weekends maybe have some friends over, or even join a book club, or yoga program. I dont blame you for not wanting to go out after a long day of work but it doesnt have to be like that everyday =D

NO, what's worse is going out & being up to no good. If you go to work, you get your social interaction there.
What about kids that were bullied in school to a bad end. Do you say their being around other people was good for them? Actually, in their case it was worse.
People these days think they have to be such socialites packing their whole days around people & extra activities outside of home & it doesn't make them any better of a person than a home-body.

I don't see how it could be bad to do what you do during the week. (thats my week) But on the weekend, you could do more. See people, go to parks, etc. Even go to Starbucks & have a coffee and pretty soon someone will come up and talk to you and you never know where friendship may lead.

I hope it isn't bad, because you just described my life, too. That is why I have 10 favorite TV shows at least.
