An undergrad is someone working toward their bachelors degree (the one you get after 4 years). A grad student is someone who already has their bachelors and is working toward a masters. You'll be an undergrad.
A major is the main thing you study. Say your major is psychology - you'll take lots of psych classes and classes related to psych. But you'll also have to take general ed. classes and electives. General ed. classes are things like physics, math and English. Electives can be whatever you want them to be.
Your degree is for your major. Using the example above you'd have a bachelors in psychology. It's just a way to say what your major was after you graduated.
You could major in psychology and take ASL classes as electives. Or, some colleges offer majors/minors in ASL.

I was the first person in my family to graduate high school and I am working on my second degree now.
You need to make an appointment to tour several college that you are interested in. Then apply and see where you get accepted.
Talk to the school about financial aide plans, try to not use student loans. They take forever to pay back.
An undergraduate is someone that has not yet earned a Bacholers degree. A graduate student is someone who has their bacholer's and is working toward a Masters degree.
Undergrad degrees generally take 4 years, you will choose a Major, which will probably be Psychology, according to your statement above. You can Minor in most any other field, depending on your college. You don't have to minor in sign language in order to take classes in it.
Don't feel stupid, you don't know until you ask questions.
When you begin college you will have an orientation that will give you more information.
Good Luck!

Don't feel stupid lol... nobody knows everything and it's already very good that u'll be the first to attend college. Undergraduate is the first four years of the university which is what u need to be enroll in. Start from looking for the university you are interested in and look at the requirements. Well known universities would be harder to get in and they will focus on your high school classes u take and ur grades, also ur SAT score. Some really good school requires SAT subject test. Start from which university you want to go to and then look into their undergraduate program relating to psychology as ur major. Although, it doesn't really matter for now because u won't have to declare major until your 3rd yr of college mostly. Good luck and hope that u're not a senior in high school because it might be too late... if u're not then next yr take honors or AP classes cuz it'll really help u get into college so much easier. but don't worry talk to ur counseller at school about!

First, don't panic.
A degree is a certificate stating you graduated. A Major is an area of study, (English, psychology, etc etc)
As an undergrad (1st 4 years) just about any college offers courses in psychology, but sign language, you got me.
Sounds like a trip to your school guidance counselor is in order. Good Luck!
PS Don't listen to a lot of advice from a lot of people, or you'll end up a head case. They mean well, but what worked at ohio State might not work at Franklin and Marshall College.
Nopw, look in the mirror and say I AM NOT STUPID!!! OK? you took the first step in getting help.Nothing stupid about that!

maintain good grades and get a good score on your SAT exam. SAT exam is taken when you are in 12th grade. When you get admitted into a university you can apply for grants.[ money you do not have to pay back] or a regular loan which you have to pay back after you graduate. When your in college you can take sign language as an elective. I wish you luck!
