I would keep using what you have been with - I have a 1985 mustang with 342,000 miles on it and people tell me i am stupid for using Havoline 20 W 50 in it but with that many miles on it i think they are stupid so i say if it aint broke leave it alone and i live in Tampa Fl and drive my mustang to knoxville Tennessee 3 or 4 times a year and it runs after 700 miles with 70 psi oil pressure down interstate 75 and at a speed that can get you in trouble -- GOOD LUCK

Use high mileage fully synthetic oil, and when you change your oil put in this stuff called engine restore into your car improves the life of your engine and cleans it out really well but you probably have a six cylinder so use 6 cylinder engine restore or if you have an 8 cylinder then use 8 cylinder restore you can find it at Napa, Checker, or Shucks whatever is there...

I'd recommend against it. Synthetics have additives to keep oil seals soft, and on old hard seals and gaskets you are liable to have oil leaksdevelop all over the place. just use a good oil and change it regularly.

I would continue to use the same oil that you've been using. Considering the mileage that you have on the car, it looks like it's been working for you.

Why bother? Are you trying for 500,000? Sounds like you'll get there with whatever you ARE using.
