Isn't it against the law for a child sex offender to live less that 1000 feet to an elementary school? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

It depends on the state you live in. Laws restricting where someone can live, even a convicted child molester, are being challenged in the courts. The best thing to do is contact your local police department. While you're at it, find out if you can post a warning at the school, or have the school send home a notice with the kids.

Of course I assume that you KNOW this person is truly a child molester versus some 19 year old who had sex with his 16 year old girl friend. Both may be labeled as child sex offenders but I hope you can see that the 19 year old in this case would probably not be a threat.

All depends on the city ordinances. Some places it is, some have it's not. Some cities there are so many schools that this would basically "Ban" the individual from the city which some cities have tried and had to make changes because it was deemed unconstituional. Check your local city ordinances on this topic.

a great sort of intercourse offenders fail to sign in. They get by skill of with a slap on the wrist. Paroled and set loose of detention center early to offend back. intercourse criminal status is for existence, yet permit's settle for it. a great sort of smash out with further and extra crimes, or perhaps the greater youthful ones fail to sign in at circumstances. This all is going on because of the fact the guidelines are plenty too lenient.

Nope - only if they are "sexually violent predators". A regular sex offender does not have to follow those restrictions. They will be listed under Megan's Law but that's it.
