Why don't you try small things first like a small ceremony for friends or family and either do it for free or charge a small amount so that you can build a portfolio and get some word of mouth out. Put up fliers around town in spots like stores, get a myspace page and advertise it, do some work for organizations like church, clubs, etc. and get the word out like that. You may not do big weddings at first but if people see you do nice work they will want to hire you.
Always give your close friends and family a good rate but let them know why b4 they tell others what you charge. And don't charge real high so that you can be the competition and get jobs. Good luck.

A lot of times bride2be's are at expo's just to get ideas even though they dont plan to hire expensive exibitors, so you might want to hang out at those type of functions to hit up potential clients( be prepared=having something profesional to identify you and your service like a business card or classy flier)
Good luck & God Bless
