I am trying to prepare early for next football season. I play WR, DB, occasionally RB, and occasionally Kick/Punt return. What are some good drills or exercises that will help me improve my game and be in the best possible shape for the season?

Take a broomhandle, cut it down to about 12", tie a string to it, and put a 2-3 lb. weight on the other end. Twist the handle up until the weight reaches the handle, then twist 'till its back at the bottom. Start slow, then add speed as you feel comfortable with it. Also, take a golf ball and practice stick handling, you can do this while watching tv. But,never forget to practice skating as often as you can, this is the most important skill in hockey. If you can't skate, you can't play. As a coach, I allways tell ALL my players this, no matter the skill level.

I'd find a speed ladder on the internet and use it every day. It will give you different workouts to do with it, it was great for my foot speed, cordination, and quickness. i'd also look for Box workouts online as well to increase the vertical. Colleges love players who can create on the field and being able to go up and get the ball then be quick enough to beat people will turn some heads.

Go to a tennis club and practice catching tennis balls out of the automatic serve machine. That, and practice sprinting. run about 100 meters as fast as you can, 5 times a day, 3-4 times a week.
