Any animal that has had a traumatic birth or lack of oxygen during the birthing process can have brain damage causing them to be not as "smart" or co ordinated as their fellow animals. Or if a brian injury is sustained at any stage during life can cause retardation.

Yes, Ive heard of dogs, cats, monkeys, and other animals being born with brain problems, mental retardation, and other defects like that. Humans arent the only ones, it just harder to recognize in other animals.

here is why, Cheetahs are often inbred, it streams like years down the family tree. They were once used as hunting animals and were once hunted themselves, now there are not many more so most of them are inbred and that makes them slightly retarded.

They were inbred, because actually white Siberian tigers are like a hiccup in nature, therefore extremely rare. but since they are so beautiful a lot of people use them for show, Sigfried and Roy for example uses them quite often and since they are so rare there are not enough that are not related. So they have been mated with brother and sister, cousins and such. so that now they are almost all related in one since, thus making them inbred and retarded

Apparently you never met my dog Sam. He is so retarded, he dot stuck coming out of his mom during birth. I tried teaching him to hunt, but well, he runs into to many trees. I seen that dog run head first, full speed right into the only tree in the yard. He was not the brightest of the litter.
