No one wants to pay taxes, but htey want the benefits. It is the free rider problem. Lower taxes, however, are stimulating to the economy, as long as there is sufficient upkeep on the infrastructure and the judicial system, etc... can be kept running, the lower the taxes the better. Taxes are actually a distortion of economically efficient markets, producing uneconomicly efficient actions because of the artificial costs imposed by uneven or distorting taxes.
