Anyone ever heard of Rambus?

So my dad says his computer takes Rambus.....I've never heard of Rambus but he says they are small strips of Ram that you can stack. Maybe Im wrong but the only Rambus I have ever heard about was RDRAM by Rambus Inc. Help me out. Thanks.

You are correct. Rambus memory was used in Intel desktop pc motherboards several years ago.

Yes...Rambus is very costly.....Get out of that computer and get one with DDR
