All I can say is that unless you have become a minority and walked in their shoes, you have no idea what it is like and what you would do if you were one. I bet that anyone that was white had to put on a black person suit they would be begging to be white again. The difference in treatment is unbelievable. Anyway, there was a good program on FX called Black White. Very educational and mind-opening.

And if they couldn't get back to white.....there would be dead white bodies scattered through the country......from there inability to deal with adversities and challenges....the roof tops would be full with waiting victims...

Gosh, and I suppose you think you know what it is to be born of every ethnicity? If you put on a native american suit...I'm sure there would be an enormous shock factor for you, as there would be if you put on a caucasian one. I highly doubt that you would act in entirely the same way as you do now. You would try to adjust at least a little to what you had become..in an effort to fit in with a different culture.

Chances are that if the folks on the FX show were treated differently by the public that it was partly due to their change in 'personality'. They too were probably attempting to fit in and missed the mark by a long shot.

I can honestly say that I have never treated a person of a different ethnicity differently because of their skin color...i do though have a tendency to treat people in the same way that they treat me. So, if you, or anyone else deems something I say or do as 'racist'..then it's probably nothing more than a case of you (the pot) calling the kettle black...no color pun intended there.

Incidently, of course a white person put in a black suit would want to be white again..it's what they are used to, few people like change..especially something as drastic as that...would you like to have your entire culture taken away from you in a strange twist of fate like that? Can you say that you wouldn't want to change back immediately? Or would you want to stay white? <--now that's what I would call wierd.

Let's be honest..FX is not exactly unbiased. If you think that tv shows like that don't have motives then you're smoking something that you should be sharing. I bet there was just as much, if not more, good footage that fell on the cutting room floor..that went against their theory than all the stuff they used..that fit in with their theme. All they are trying to do is sell this modern day theory that only caucasians are racist..(talk about a generalization)..and you are actually buying it? as far as I am concerned..it's a bunch of bull..and in posting this question all you're helping to do is enlarge the divide between different ethnicities.

Perhaps you should email FX and suggest to them that they put together a show that teaches everyone how to get along instead of one that damages relations. I think it is pathetic that they would stoop to such a level in order to get good ratings...(I think folks call it shock factor)

I suggest that before you start suggesting that 'some' people are blind to racism..you take a good long look at yourself.

Why is it that Blacks who have made it to the top of their professions, excluding athletes, are often made fun of (specifically Connie Rice and Colin Powell come to mind); why are young blacks discouraged from the finer arts? Why is the influence of only 12-15% of the population of the USA so strong as to keep so many of the youth down, and not wanting or enabling them to blend with the rest of the population?

I think if we were to put on "the black suit", but act as whites, we'd surely see some REAL racism; and it wouldn't be from the soda jerk at the corner drug store (an old analogy, I know).

Because most Whites countinue to act like it does not exist because they never experienced it. They don't know what minorities go through. They live in neighborhoods with just Whites, while Hispanics, Blacks and Asian live in the same neighborhood and gets to know each other. And to the person who said if you can't put up with Whitey go back to your Country. Why do you take your White *** back to Europe bastard. Most Countries are suffering because of the USA. Europe can be sneaky to when they want to. But China will put the USA in check soon.

People are taught to believe in a certain way. I know the show, wish everyone could see it, unfortunately they cannot. You can start changing this, by changing, who you are. There is no color that is less then you. We are all just human beings trying to survive in this crazy world. Bottom line, that is what makes us equal. Regardless of skin color or sex.
