Definately a Taxi. When on a train for example your child will either be next to you or in a stroller. But when you book a taxi ask for one that has a child restraint or car seater/booster which ever you are using, every taxi department will have taxi's that are equipped to carry child seats/restraints you just need to request it when you phone.

I recently had to use one in Sydney, for my 3 month old.

Good luck

All children under a certain age must be secured in a properly secured seat in any motor car including taxis. The seats are not, however, required on buses and trains. Most of the beaches are well served by buses or trains so why not take the bus to the beach and you don't have to worry about car seats?
