The local theaters are showing 20 minutes of coming attractions (some 8 months away!), and if I get there 10 minutes early, it's car commercials and candy bars. This means that pay theater subjects me to as much advertizing as free TV. I say my time is worth $30 per hour. That is what I will pay to save an hour shopping, or fixing things. So my time watching the theater ads is worth $15, and they charge me $10 admission. Why not free? Or cut out the commercials?

I totally concur. Once they start these trends, they never stop them either. It is a giant rip-off. I don't go to the movies much any more, I find they come out on DVD so fast, I just wait a couple of months and watch from the comfort of my favorite chair.

certain it sucks that we would want to placed up with commercials at a movie yet someone's' earning funds off of it. no matter if this is the theater, the filmmaker or both...and there is a fat danger in getting them to quit it if someone's' earning funds. Booing gained't do any solid. Throwing eggs on the demonstrate screen will merely get you kicked out & possibly arrested. no longer to tutor makes it demanding to observe the action picture even as it easily does commence. Theaters gained't care in case you whinge, merely see you later as you save coming. Boycotting the theaters would do the trick, yet there'll not in any respect be adequate those who do it to make a large difference. Society takes it up the rear at present. no longer adequate people provide a damn to take a stand and wrestle for a reason. except lunatics like PETA & the ACLU.

I agree. And I do not even go unless its a really "need to be seen on huge screen" movie. Not just the 10.00 admission but the 3.00 drink and the 6.00 popcorn so a date is like 38.00 or more ...I go have a nice dinner at Friday's and get a DVD and we do not have to put up with some jerk talking through the whole thing not to mention the curling and cuddling

I agree! I hardly EVER go to the movies because I get so irritated. They are are 10-13 dollar risk- when I can wait three months and watch it in the comfort of my own home.......and FAST FORWARD through the CRAP.

No but they should be free if ppl talk during the movie! And cell phones ringing, or talking on them, should get you beat to a pulp by theater goons.

in my person openion yes they should be i mean it isn't right that we pay 7 bucks for a movie and then have to watch 30 minutes of commercials so i wish they were free tickets and all you had to pay for was food and drink...that would rule...
