I have been on disability since July. I was released by my doc on Thursday. Today was my first day back in the gym. The last two days I had plenty of reasons why I couldn't go. I just DID it today. Of course, it was at the end of the day, but I went. Once you get that first time under your belt, the second and third will come easier. I know I will have some soarness tomorrow, but I am so happy I went.

Start off slowly (just a few reps).and set a schedule and stick to it.
Don't look for results right away, be determined to keep with the schedule above all else. Once you feel confident that you can stick to a schedule and feel comfortable doing the exercises, set a goal to increase the reps gradually. If you start now , you should feel and look a lot better before the first days of summer. Good luck.

Start slowly. Add one or two days of exercise each week to your calendar, and get in the habit of sticking to those days. After a month or so you can add another day.

If you're really out of shape, definitely start with lower intensity activities. Try a low-impact cardio class, walking quickly with hand weights, a beginner's yoga class or swimming lengths.

take a picture of yourself to motivate you to Exercise and eat healthy on a daily basis.
Measure yourself and take your weight...then re-check in one month.
Walk everyday for up to an hour , increasing your heart-rate,(if you can't due to the snowy weather...go to a mall to walk for an hour around the mall, or walk up stairs for a bit to get your heart rate elevated...if you're just beginning...just do what you can* and do an extra couple added on every day...Always warm up and cool down...before and after exercising....... eat fruits, veggies, chicken, fish, salads, whole grain rice or pasta, alot of water* Eat small meals every 3-4hrs....Try to do other activities...walking stairs, or crunches on an exercise ball, dancing, swimming, biking.....keep active to what you can handle..
