You have a couple of options. If you want one that looks great and you can get trophys at shows, you will need to pony up the big dollars and do a good search for just the right car. Join POCI, subscribe to Hemmings, and join any Firebird owners group you can think of. This is where the majority of the good cars will be, but the sellers will also be knowledgeable and know their value.

If you want a streetable performer, a daily driver, etc., I still recommend the POCI membership, but expand the search to eBay, local paper shoppers, etc. You might hope to find on in a barn somewhere, but those stories are few and far between (it's never happened to me, for instance!)

Good luck!

Pick up an issue of Hemmings motor news, Pontiac Enthusiast or High Performance Pontiac and become a member of POCI. Smoke Signals is there monthly publication with the largest classified section.
