I agree with you. I have been docked several times when reported by TROLLS (and by that I mean liberals) for simply disagreeing with them. And no I did not violate any terms of service in my responses.

I think that they respect freedom of speech, to a point. What strikes me as odd though, is that so many intelligent questions get deleted and flagged, when there are all types of extremist non questions which remain on the site. People shouldn't use this forum just to incite and bait the other side. I would rather have a logical debate with someone intelligent than an irrational diatribe with a troll. People who have an honest and fair question should be allowed to post it no matter if others agree or not.

Absolutely not. I have been banned from Yahoo opinions (prior to them removing that section from Yahoo) because I have voiced my opinion honestly. I did not threaten, use profanity, or make idle claims. Everything I wrote was backed up by fact or at leats a link to an article to substantiate my claims. I made a statement concerning my beliefs about the direction of America under Bush's leadership and was banned for 15 days from utilizing the opinion sectins of Yahoo.

Correct, if they want to do business in China, they must comply. Like google however, they can thumb their nose at US counter terrorism efforts. I'm one of those crazy people who think the terrorists are just a pawn of the communist hardliners who are milking trade with the USA to build up their industrial and transportation might to kick our butt once we have scrapped everything in Detroit, Pittsburgh, etc. and are reduced to a raw material exporting colony. And the longer we keep our head buried in the sand, the more likely our defeat.

I think they respect it, otherwise they wouldn't have started this whole Answers section. However, when you take into account for people complaining on what they are reading instead of just not reading it and going somewhere else. Then it changes. If they take it off, not many people are going to complain. They will just repost it. If they leave it on, there will be more people complaining and bitc**** about it. It is easier to just delete something and hearing people complain about it.

Within legal parameters, yes. They are responsible for the content on these forums, and if a respondent believes that a law has been broken, or a point in the code of ethics we all agree to has been violated, then they have a need, right, and legal responsibility to act on it, what ever the "it' may be.

As a public forum open to kids they do have a duty to limit some of the mindless goings on around here. I think they give us as much latitude as they can and I am certainly not mindless, communist or PC.

There is a difference between having free speech and disrespecting others. I would think that those who know the difference would not have any problems here.
