you have to have parental consent. If something happened the clinic could be held liable. Therefore the parents have to sign for it so the clinic doesn't get sued.
Abortion is wrong, but that wasn't your question.

I don't know anything about abortion laws in New Zealand. I know here in the states it varies from state to state. In California it is any age without parental notification and the parental consent law was stopped by the courts. In New York there is no parental consent or notification laws on the books. North Carolina has the Parental Consent law however that can be overidden by notifying the grandparents. Oklahoma's laws requiring both began in December of 06. How this can help someone in New Zealand I don't know...

When I was 16, it depend on the state
I would contact Plan Parent-Hood
They should know the laws in your state
You might put the state you live in, Somebody may know the law in that state
Talk to your friend. Tell her some people have an abortion, and they regret it for the rest of their life. Ask her to think about this question: Why do you believe life begins? Conception? Birth?
Tell her to really think about the answer. You are a good friend, standing by her.

If your friend really feels abortion is the right thing and doesnt want her parents to know she could go to a walk in clinic and ask there. but keep in mind it cost money for an abortion, so your friend might want to think about that.

you can get one but you have to have your parents know if your under 18 becuase there are consent forms that your parents have to sign like legel documaentation so its not possible.
