Ok, I'm giving alot but with getting Vlad my keepers are stacked. I give Abreu,Carpenter and Papelbond for Vlad and Verlander.

as long as your pitching staff can handle loosing carpenter, and you do not expect anything great from verlander, than its an OK trade. abreu is overrated anyway, and any team can only gain from adding a 5 tool player in vlade

I think you are giving up too much. Vlad is nice, but the Angels suck. Abreu no longer hits for power, but he does everything else well. He will get you more steals and runs than Vlad with comparable average and RBI. Carpenter a more of a sure thing than Verlander. Who knows how well Papelbon will perform this year, but if he is anywhere near last year's performance, you probably don't want to give that up.

for a keeper league, i'd do that trade. Verlander is better than Carp long-term and Vlad is better than Abreu. - todd shriber
