The best way is not to feed the troll. If the troll posts questions, and no one answers them, they go away and seek attention elsewhere. I know, sometimes it's almost irresistible to rag on them, but that's what they count on.

i think of Howie a rather sturdy host, he's humorous and creative. and the help group could nicely be significant quite whilst the candidate is gentle, it somewhat helps to have people around. however the ten seconds to respond to after asking the question deal or no deal is an astounding thought, it would provide extra rigidity to the candidate, making the activity lots extra exciting.

It depends upon the Troll - If you realise that a Troll is just trying to wind you up, or offend you, Be Calm. Don't rise to them.
Ignore them.

If it wasn't for the people that agree with her, I would agree. But there are some out there that agree with the crazy things she posts and that is even more disturbing. The thing that is most upsetting about this whole situation is that a lot of us are put "in violation" of the guidelines for posting and answering questions (especially by that id), yet this person continues. Aren't the guidelines put in place to stop this? Where is the punishment?

Exactly. Ignoring them is the best strategy. Beware of people who even mention them, because they could be trolls too.

A lesson from the "old days" on Usenet was to ignore trolls.

They crave attention if you feed them they grow stronger. If you ignore them they go away.

Don't feed the trolls!
