My perfect society would be way back when when we didn't have the consiousness we currently do and sat around in a warm jungle type of setting -
Look at the documentary film Gorrila's in the mist" Very human very gentle animals that grazed - I think we just evolved at little to far for our own good - Small family units lack of awareness emotional bonds and happy family's - no crime and no police needed along with no need for any sort of super sturcture.

A hunter/gatherer society.

In this society, us humans are part of a working ecosystem. Our population would also have to be drastically less because the current world population far exceeds the earth's carrying capacity.

We would be much more localized...not giving a **** about whats happening anywhere else. All that matters now would be you and your family/tribe and place..........time would not have the significance as it does in our current society.

The perfect society (i wont pretend i am god as i have the free thought given by god from part of god which ever god you believe in ).There would be chips installed in all forms of weapons including knives so the population could be predicted in advance if a murder was going to take place or a weapon taken into the community and mass killings(GPS in weapons) can be stopped as this is as far it would go to putting micro chips in things .Individuality is the main key as every race needs to be recongised and race housing to suit the individual would make life easy or call it choice .Fruit tree are a must farming built around the suburbs with great tall pollution extracton machines that filter the air and process the pollution into carbon used for tyres and other products (the pollution extraction machines must look like 500metre tall trees with an under ground processing plant.I'm going to stop here as i can think for ever.

Remember even in the Garden of EDEN, God had man & women working. A Utopia where one only plays wasn't an option then why do you think it would be any different now. Until man had free will it was a utopia. Are you willing to give that up? The place of the setting is of minor importance. The main question are you willing to give up free will. That is the main item that will always insure there is no Utopia.

Well, in an ideal society, former CEO's of huge oil companies would not be allowed to be in politics, and certainly not vice-president. It would be illegal because of conflict of interest. One cannot possibly serve the interests of the people while serving oneself double helpings of everything.

Think Garden of Eden without male/female but with a purpose. Daily accomplishment of some kind. It would be governed by Jesus.

The idyllic society would be one that is very urban and run by republicans, and there would be one ruler, a benevolent dictator. (notice that this would not be a communism, I am not a democrat.)

No government, no religion, no competition, no war. (Much like the natives of Hispaniola before Columbus killed them all.)
