Water. It's abundant, but clean water is becoming more and more rare. In the future, clean freshwater will be very important, and may become one of the most important resources for trade in the world. In deserts, it is more important than anything! It is needed by everyone in the world. Without it, we would die.

I hate to be a copy cat, but it is water. Of all the earth's water supply, only about 3% of it is truly "pure" And it is locked up in Ice Caps.
