i've just started crocheting again, and i'm looking for an easy pattern for beginning crochet. just the plain stitch. doesn't matter what its for, i'm open to anything. thanks.

I would send you this pattern, but they don’t let you do it. Just go to this web site for a very easy pretty scarf pattern. Only one stitch, the sc (single crochet). http://crochet.about.com/library/blbegscarf.htm

If you search on crochet patterns, you will come up with dozens of sites with free patterns. In addition, Michaels.com has a cute pattern for a baby blanket with a bear hood that is really easy--I'm working on one right now for my niece. Most craft stores have free patterns available in the yarn section as well--I have an entire folder full of them. Most of them are pretty easy.
