Think about it, Stockton to Malone era is past, Sloan is still the coach with no COY award, he's in the top in wins, it's slightly possible he can beat the Mavs or Phoenix coach for it, Deron Williams is turning into a star like all the gaurds, Boozer is dominant downside, Okur is a clutch man, along with his three pointers, their bench is deep with Harpring, Fisher, (when he's not a starter), Giricek, and Kirilenko may have dragged his numbers down but he's still vital to this franchise....do you actuallyt hink this is the team that could win the Utah Jazz their first ever title? They've given the top 3 teams (SA, Phoenix, Dallas) a hardship, they are undefeated against Phoenix, beat SA and have beaten Dallas, give me your comments.

i agree with you. it's an injustice to sloan for being denied a COY award given his amazing achievements with the jazz.

booze is solid. as long as he keeps healthy, he will get better. okur is a crunch-time player. we've witnessed what he can do in the offense and defense this season. d-will can potentially be better than stock. he has the height, speed and he is beginning to score. he can dominate the other PGs in the eague. ak-47 is a massive boost in the defense but i'd like to see him contribute more in offense.

perhaps their weakest area is the SG spot. giricek is an offensive threat but the other SGs have been exploiting.

given a few more years of playing together and perhaps plugging that hole at the 2, the jazz will be genuine contenders.

i really like to them to upset some team and hope that they will go all the way.

I think that the Jazz have a great team and that they can go all the way this year. No matter how the Jazz are doing there is going to be critics and others that are pulling them down. Yes Sloan should be coach of the year but he also should of been a couple of years ago when the Jazz almost made the playoffs with such a young team that was not supposed to be good at all. Yes like you have said they have beat the best teams in the NBA. I was watching one game and they were talking about how great the team is expecially the bench. Even though Fisher is not on the bench anymore or at least for right now they seem to be doing great. For an example Harping and Giricek has been great. Another great player that you had not mention is Paul Milsap. Watch the Jazz to continue doing well and watch them get pulled down by others. Anyway i want to wish them very good luck.

Couldn't agree more about Sloan, the fact the man has gone as long as he has with no COY award is criminal but getting back to the question: how far can the jazz go?.
this Jazz team is the best I've seen in years Deron is exiting to watch(him and Boozer are my favorites for Improved Player of the Year) and the Jazz have great chemistry. could this be the year?
I don't know, stranger things have happened but In my humble opinion I think Dallas is just looking too good this year, they have a style and depth that we only can envy. Dirk Nowitzki is a clear choice for MVP and is hungry for a title.
call me superstitious but I don't like to get ahead of myself when it comes to the Jazz, Yes they are having a great year but high expectations can backfire (but that doesn't mean I won't still root come playoff time baby!) as for the record against Phoenix, SA,and Dallas will this mean something when they are playing against the Jazz in the playoffs and it really matters? Who knows I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Go Utah Jazz!

The Jazz will make it into the second round, but I do not see them getting past Dallas. The Jazz have a better head-to-head record against Phoenix and have their number for some reason. I think San Antonio and Dallas are insurmountable for Utah.

With that all said, Jerry Sloan has taken a team full of relatively unknowns and molded a contender. He should be Coach of the Year..

If the Jazz were in the East, i think they would go to the finals. Unfortunately they're in the West and there are 3 or 4 better teams than them. They could go to the second round this year, but I don't think they'll beat a more experienced team like SA, PHX, or Mavs. But if they keep their core players together, Sloan is great at getting his guys to play as a team, and they will make a serious run in 2 years.

i think of there dissimilar reason to choose the Jazz will do nicely this year. regrettably perfect now this is all in simple terms desire. for my section Al Jefferson is a much extra advantageous slot in Utah than Boozer replaced into. So i don't think of dropping Boozer is going to wreck that undesirable. Boozer ought to attain, yet Utah's situation hasn't been scoring. as nicely, Jefferson can score and rebound on an analogous point as Boozer, on an analogous time as being some inches taller and getting his factors down low somewhat of on the severe submit like Boozer. Deron Williams seems to be happy with the direction the gang is going. it somewhat is a sturdy sign whilst the NBA's terrific PG and all-celebrity likes what he has to artwork with. Fesenko has been doing great interior the preseason and is 25 pounds lighter this year. looks like the 7'a million" middle is beginning up to take his NBA occupation heavily, and that's a great sign because of fact he has the aptitude to be a shielding activity changer for the gang. i admire the Jazz possibilities of having previous the 1st around against rather much any group different than l. a.. The Lakers are nonetheless the gang to overcome, no rely what they're asserting in Miami. it would be great for the Jazz in the event that they could get the #2 (or #a million of direction) seed and not could desire to stand the Lakers till the WCF.

As far as my Chicago Bears made it with all the criticizm on their team. Except, if Utah makes it to the Finals, theyd probably win. Critics mean nothing, just look at the Bears: everyone was talking about how bad they were and for about a quarter and a half of Super Bowl XLI, it looked like the critics were going to have to eat their own words.

Anyway, Im a Cavaliers fan and all I have to say is that we only lost to you guys by a point (we would win if we played again), and we shouldve had Dallas the other night (Dirk hurt LeBron).

Critics dont mean anything to a teams success or failure.

The Jazz won't make it past the first round. They will get beat by the Suns, Mavericks, or Spurs in the first round. The Jazz just don't have the best team but they do have a good coach in Jerry Sloan. When the Jazz had Stockton and Malone then they did do good in the playoffs but with the team this year I don't see them making it past the first round.

When they got my Okur, Williams, Boozer, and Kirilenko (my favorite NBA player), I could see them making the Semifinals at best. Too bad they aren't in the East. Then either the Jazz or Pistons would make the Finals

the Jazz are good and i hope they go far. but teams like San Antonio, Dallas, and Phoenix are still a little better. It looks like Dallas is the team to beat this year.
