I have heard about a rumor about the world ending on 12/21/12 but have not heard any details...what is this all about? I am just looking for some information.

I really don't believe the world is ending I am just looking for some information about this latest rumor....just for the heck of knowing...I guess you could say it caught my attention...

It's due to the Mayan calandar ending then. Dec.21,2012. The Mayans were very serious osbservers of the sun and plants. So ppl are saying that because their calander ends on the dec. 21,2012, it must be the end of the world. I saw a show last nite that said it (the calander) means an end to a cycle and things wil be changing. Which I prefer to believe. Also...how long did they want this calander to be? We get our for 12-18 mon. at a time, this one was like 3000 yrs. Enough already, they had to stop somewhere. Why not dec 21, 2012?

that is from the Mayan calender. As you can see no body is really Mayan anymore. You might start hearing some BS about all the stuff the mayan calendar predicted, but the entries are so vague it could apply to just about any event. Just like horoscopes or fortune cookies

I seen that rumor on the show"Decoding the Past" on Direct TV, but it gave me no proof. Man has been guessing the end of time, since the beginning of time, and were always wrong! I'm not worried?

the ancient mayans belived the world is going to end in the world 2012 which i guess i wouldnt take it that seriously but they were pretty smart for when they lived and all they did. i would call them the greeks of south america.

Haven't heard about that one but ever since I was a kid I've been hearing these things about the world ending on different dates and they always pass by and nothing ever happens. So don't fret about it. I am 47. Trust me on this one.
