What are you feeding him? Is he still eating the jars of baby food? If so, what stage is he on? My son never lost interest in food but my friend's daughter did. It turned out that they weren't switching up the foods enough--she was still on stage two at twelve months! My son started table food at about ten months so he was always getting introduced to new textures and flavors. Her doctor actually recommended her putting her daughter on table food right away. You're right formula is not enough to keep your son full. You need to resolve this problem. If you could add more details about his diet that would be great! Best of Luck!

My son is 11 months too and he has times when he refuses food but will drink tons of milk. Don't worry he's probably teething and he doesn't want to eat because of the pain. If your worried about him getting more nutrition then the formula call his doc and ask if you can add baby liquid vitamins to his formula.

I had the same problem with my son three years ago. My pediatrician said to start gradually watering down the formula until he is off of it totally. He needs the water anyway and as long as the formula is available it is easier for him to get his "food" that way.
But, if he is crying more or acting like maybe he doesn't feel well, in that case I would contact your pediatrician.

He may have a sore throat and food may be painful to swallow. If you can look and see if there is any redness on the back of the throat, he could be teething and have a runny nose with a post nasal drip that irritates the throat, see if the pitch of his cry voice or regular voice has changed and if that is the case bring him to the pediatrician soon. You don't want to have a prolonged strep without treating.

welcome to motherhood........this is the first of what will probably be many spells like this, the real fun ones are when they go on binges and eat....but only one thing. my 4 year old is on a peanut butter sandwich binge right now, she has eaten nothing but pb sandwiches for a week now no matter what i put on her plate.....her doctor said as long as its something healthy its fine. and a baby under the age of 1 year can survive off fomula alone its complete with all the nutrients a baby needs. when they get older and are off formula if they take a spell where they wont eat most pediatricians tell you to try pediasure because it has alot of nutrients.

Maybe try table foods. He may be ready to eat what you eat and doesnt want the baby food anymore. Or he could be teething those big back teeth and his mouth hurts.
