Surnames: Donovan, Mackenzie, Reilly, Avery, Kennedy, Ross
Unisex names: Jordan, Peyton, Riley, Cameron, Addison

This is sort of messed up, but there's some names. Personally, from that list MY favorites are Zoe, Autumn, Lindsey, Alexis, Kayla, Lauren, Bailey, Audrey, Amber, Julia, Jasmine, Jade, Raymond, Trevor, Jesse, Dominic, Sean, Cody, Steven, Alex, Jack, Evan, Kevin, Jordan, Seth, and Anthony.
One thing that may make normal or popular names more intersting is the spelling. Zoey, Lindsee, Audree, Jasmin, Shawn, Alix, Jourdan, ets., (I actually know people with these spellings)
But, don't go on popularity, what do you want their name to be? And, make sure it sounds good with the last name. In 5th grade I had a friend named Vanessa Tressa Gressa. Cute.

personally i think that if u are looking for the top baby names of the year, then u should not name ur kid one of them. because if they might be cute but when they start getting into school there might be 5 others with that same name. Name them something original and different so when they grow up they wont just blend in with the crowds.
Examples..Michael, Nicholas, Matthew, Jonathon...how many guys do u know that have those names.

You know that there are some folks that use the same names over and over again... like Sophia.... i've read so many posts on that name, and then every other friend of mine is naming their daughter that....
Then you got the really weird creative names...
My son's name is Austin.
Next baby.... if it's a boy we are going to name him Henry, and if it's a girl Olivia

If I ever have another daughter I would call her Nimue, pronounced (Nim-away)... She was the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian legend.. I personally love the name and let's face it today people are opting for something new... I will take that which is not only old but ancient and give the name life once again.. Thus it will be a new name ! Love and Light.....

It should not be names that are "in" that you choose for your child. Rather a name that has meaning to you and your family. I mean look at when the Little Mermaid came out....how many Aerial's are out there. My grandma was named after Shirley Temple....so look toward your family or even friends, that is unless they have very awkward names like my husbands family for instance....I won't even go there.
Good Luck and Congrats

Definitely Ava for a girl. Ava, Madison, Emma, Olivia, Isabella, and Taylor are the most popular and newly made top 10's I think.
