I am a cleaner (for my job). I clean the bathrooms. Toilet plungers are not supplied to us cleaners. What should I do when I find a nasty clogged up toilet? Should I get in trouble if I skip the toilet because some jerk has massive diareha and used a whole role of toilet paper?

I to was a janitor and ran into the same troubles. If they do not supply any plungers for you I would just go out and get one. Then when you go home take it with you after you clean it. You could show the supervisor the trouble and ask for a plunger then. If you have a Johnny Mop you can use that also, but you will be a little longer for that to work. Just shove the Johnny Mop into the toilet and keep pushing toward the back I know this is a very messy, but that would be the best or get you a plunger.

Nasty clogged up toilets result from a broken sanitation system. Anyway, you shouldn't skip the toilet 'cos it's still going to be clogged down there! And who's going to clean it up if you don't? What if your colleagues think the same way? Diarrheas are inevitable sometimes. So don't blame the jerk, and do your job. :) Doing a little work is better than getting scolded from your boss and getting your pay deducted, trust me.

There is always someone in charge of the work group, might not be a manager of the company you work for but they have a go to person in the group. Go get them and have them deal with the problem. If the company doesn't supply the tools then I guess the one in charge should deal with it. Bet the proper equipment will be supplied in no time.

Request for a complete set of cleaning supplies from your management, and mean it!

report your place of employment to the dept. of health--this is a safety/sanitation hazard and is illegal if employees are expected to do a job but are not provided with the proper and safest equipment to perform their work.
