when can I re-test

Rachel...usually the bar is given in Feb and then in July although some states may have only one test a year (not likely anymore though). The States all administer the tests in those months since there is always one uniform portion, the Multistate Bar Exam. You will have to retake the test in that state if for some reason you "don't pass." So, you can take the July exam then Feb. if you need to then the next July if you need to and so on...(although some States require you to obtain their express permission to retake the exam such as if taking it for a fourth time). But...please see my response to your other question so you CAN pass! :) It's not an easy test and some States are much harder than others but it can be done.

I think the next time they hold the exam in most jurisdictios. But I'm making a general guess based on what I heard years ago, when someone I knew was worried about the bar exams (they passed the first time round).

If you are actually sitting for the bar exam and don't have the capacity to answer that question on your own, then you are never going to pass.
