Hello,
My 2 names are Michael Anthony, I was given my name Anthony as my baptismal name after the Saint Anthony. but it's the Michael you want to know about-:
When I was going to school as a very energetic 12 year old boy, I always raced my friend Michael to get there, for there was usually a playground game of football we could both join in with before the afternoon lessons, and it was closely approaching our confirmations with in a few months of the following accident, My school friend Michael wasn't as fast as myself in getting across the road, and was hit by a truck carrying milk, and poor Michael never made it either across the road or to school that afternoon, and as well as his parents being broken hearted over this tragedy so to were my parents, how often they had told us to be careful, is uncountable, but we always thought we were being careful, when the time came for my confirmation, I chose Michaels name as my confirmation name, and to his beautiful memory and for his parents too, I became Michael, and I never minded that they always called me Tony., I was supposed to choose Patrick, as my new name for my Fathers pleasure, but even he cast a tear of love for the loss of my friend and of course his parents loss, and My Father didn't mind at all, and this was my idea, to be called Michael, and no one elses, I hope you like my name, I treasure it every day.....Tony M

I have my middle name- and my first name- just simply because they are both so dull. Everywhere I go atleast one person has my name if not more- the most I've come across is 7 in a group of about 30 of us.
Before I was born, me being the first child gave my mum plenty of ambition for names, she also had enoigh time- many many months. She tells me now of afew of the names she nearly settled on: mercadies, tuesday (named after the day of the week), ...
But when the big day came and the nurse asked her "whats the baby gonna be called?" she answered with a name she now claims came from out of the blue
"Jennifer Louise"
Yeah, great, thanks mum, now I'm really gonna grow to be something special. Hmmmm, lemme see, with a name as unique as that I could be a....shop assistant!
I have taken to spelling my first name differently, at primary school I myself shortened it, demanding people call me jenny, which the spelling of was changed- by me, several times until I settled on Jennie. (unfortunatly there is only so far you can go without looking obsessive.) I left the middle name as I never really use it, I was always told by my mum (who gave the damn thing to me) that I could use it as a first name insted if I ever disliked the first name enough- well I do mum but ta for that one- the middle name is as bad as the first!
BTW I love my mum lots reeeally!!

My first name is after one grandfather, so as to keep the other side of the family happy, my middle name is after the other.
My Jewish friends think it's icky that I was named after somebody who was living at the time of my birth, but that's a different matter ...

Hey, for everyone who hates their middle name, at least you have one. I didn't even have a first name for the first two weeks after my birth, and finally the records office lady pounded on my parents' door demanding they name me on the spot. They pretty much pulled my first and only name out of the air. that's what I get for being the last born, I guess...

My middle name is Pike, I got it because I am named after my paternal grandfather. He got it because he was given it as a middle name because his aunt married somebody surnamed Pike. Its okay, its unique. Most people guess the P in my name for Paul or Peter. So its less common than those names....

Yes, I have a middle name. It's my Dad's
we have a sequence in our family, where the next male takes the middle name of the male above.
So my Dad's middle name is my grandad's first name and so on.
do I like it, not really, but I am kind of stuck with it!

Ashamed to admit that my middle name is Mary. It was going to be my first name but I was born at home, in the middle of the night, and apparently my sister came running downstairs demanding to know if I was a Susan or a Peter. Thanks sis...I hate the name Mary!

My middle name is Grace. I was named after my mom's best friend that died in a car accident shortly before I was born. I really like it.
