This is my story. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 6 months. Well lets just say that my last period was January 1st. I already have an appoint with my doctor on the 03/06/07. But this is the thing. I have taken pregnancy test after pregnancy test and they still come out negative. Has any one had this problem, and ended up to be pregnant, or if not pregnant what was the cause of the missed periods. This would be my second child. I have no signs that I am pregnant, but then again I didn't have any with my other child except sore breast but this time I don't. I was thinking that maybe because I weigh more this time then when I did when I got pregnant with my first child that maybe I won't notice the tenderness quite as soon. So I just want to know if anyone else got negative results for a long time. I hate to get my hopes up and then end up not pregnant when I go to the doctor. My husband and I want another child really bad.

Honey i dont want to scare you but i was almost 4 weeks late and my test kept coming up neg and so did the Drs and after a 1 time of bright red blood about the size of a orange and sharp take you to your knees and beg God to help pain with tears streaming down your face,my husband rushed me to the Er and inside of 15 mins and about 15 tubes of blood they detected that i was almost 8 weeks pregnant but it was in my left tube,so at 10:00 pm i was rushed into emergency surgery and ended up loosing my left side.I didnt have any signs of pregnancy at all so thats why Dr was just waiting it out thinking that my period was delayed because of stress or some thing and said if i didnt start with in 2 weeks he would inject me to start me.I hope this is not the case with you but thought i should let you know that an ectopic can show no signs of pregnancy and not show up with out blood work.good luck and best wishes!! Yes you could be pregnant still. I have a girlfriend that got pregnant when we were fresh out of high school. She got pregnant around the beggining of January, and didnt get a positive test until some time in march, when she had a blood test done. Some women dont secreat the hcg hormone into their urine so a hpt wont work. She then had the baby and was a single mom, 7 years later she is married and wanting another baby. Her and her husband were trying, and in the first month she missed her period. So they thought for sure they were pregnant. She went to the doctor and she wasnt pregnant :( She found out after a few tests that she doesnt ovulate every month, therefore she doesnt get a period either. She started Chlomid right away and eventualy got pregnant, and just had her baby a couple of weeks ago. She is also 26, she will be 27 this year. I really hope that this isnt the case for you as it is a tough road to go down. I hope that you get the possitive test this week when you see your doctor. Good Luck

Unless you've had severe weight loss recently, I'd say you're probably pregnant. A blood test from your doctor will let you know for certain. The HCg hormone that is detected in a urine test generally shows up at least 4 weeks after conception, but every woman is different. Sore breasts, frequent need to pee, severe fatigue, nausea...all these things are commonly associated with the early signs of pregnancy. However, I had sore breasts with my first baby, but not with my second or third. So the rule of thumb is that not only is every woman different, every pregnancy is different!

Question: how early did you start your first period? I ask because I have a good friend who started hers at nine (urgh, right?!?) and also had to have in vitro fertilization. These two factors have doctors concluding that she'll probably go into menopause earlier than most women. Do either of these issues relate to you? Stress can sometimes defer a period, but not usually by 5 weeks! Again, a blood test will pick up the HCg about 18 days after conception, and the doctor may do a pelvic exam to see if your cervix is closed. Hope this helps you!

hmm. im no expert on this but i think that there could be a couple factors involved. He could have a low sperm count. And depending on your age as well. I think there is something that happens to women sometimes that causes this i just cant really remember what it is right now. But if your five weeks late darling baby honey sugar i think you are pregnant. got to be. And maybe its the pregnancy test ive heard of some of them being shoddy before. Id say go to the doctor find out for sure. There may be something wrong you know. Go to the doctor.

Yes theres still a possibility that youre pregnant. Testing relies on HCG hormones in your body, and at 5 weeks it may still be not detectable to the strip.
