Have to go with Nowitzki. He listens to his coach, and as we are now learning Carmelo isn't and is going to get benched. Other than that, Anthony seems a bit more selfish and excited about his own hype, while Nowitzki seems determined to do what is necessary to win a championship and seems not at all concerned about his numbers. He's also improved his defense a lot. And that fadeaway he shoots being a 7 footer is unstoppable. Carmelo still has potential though and can improve his standing, but he has to listen to those around him or he'll blacken his career and accomplishments.

I think that Dirk Nowitzki and Carmelo Anthony are about the same but by comparing the both of them by their shots I'd half to say that "Melo" is better so thats my answer!

Well Dirk is a much more efficient offensive baskteball player, and causes automatic mismatch problems. You have to be concerned with Melo, but you don't focus on him like you do Dirk. Furthermore Dirk is an average defensive palyer now, but Melo is one of the worst defensive players in the history of basketball so the edge goes to Dirk again.

Dirk Nowitzki, better all-around player than melo. But melo is still young, he will develop in to a good player in the coming years.

Dirk, hands down.
He's longer, has better range, and is a much better team player. Neither plays impressive defense, but Dirk is a 7 footer, so he creates more matchup problems. Dirk will have an easier time getting his shot off when you need it most.

I think that Dirk would be the better player at this point... But if you are talking about potential and when both get to their primes then I am going to have to say Carmello is better... Dirk is an excellent player, but I think Carmello will be up there with Lebron at some point
