Let start with the easy one first. I think Randy is too full of himself, always throwing in stuff like "Beyonce. You I love her. I've worked with her." Who cares who you've worked with. Get over it. He's only beginning to make a little sense these days but he always has that self-satisfied grin (watch for it if you don't believe me) so I can't stand him.
I think Paula at least remembers the contestants are all still people who have feelings and tries to soften the fall most times. However, it is a competition and she is losing her credibility as a JUDGE. She's like the Guidance Counsellor of the show. However, I cannot stand to see her get HOT when a
you muscular boy comes in to sing. How objective is that?
Simon tells it like it is. (The way HE thinks IS is.. ) He views the contestants from the perspective of the record producer which honestly is a dog-eat-dog industry. There must be tens of thousands of great singers out there who do not have a record because they will not look good on Mtv. At least on this show, he gets to give them a shot.
As unpopular as he may be with parents and loyal supporters, I think viewers find his judgement most 'trustworthy'.
Unfortunately though, Simon has made the "evil judge" phenomenon acceptable and even desired. I'm from Singapore and even here, half-baked judges of various competitions are dishing out scathing remarks (which are often unnecessary) just to fulfill their own deluded expectations.
I have no favourite. I have one I hate the least. And that is Simon.
To answer you question. All three judges are too flawed for their own good. Ironically, we need the three of them to sort of counter-each other.

I like them all. I think they balance each other out really well. Paula always points out what people did well, Simon gives it to them straight (no matter what) and Randy is sort of middle-of-the-road. But to be honest I think I like Simon best. I think he's probably the most helpful in the end because it gives the contestants incentive to do better. If they come off thinking they were awesome each week, what reason do they have to push the envelope, y'know?

Definitely Simon, he might be harsh and overly honest at times but he usually is right on. Paula never says anything critical and if she does she comments on how great they look. ANd lately I think Randy has been saying things Simon used to say!

randy, he actually has an opinion. he gives good advice he hears all the the beats, when their off, and the pithiness. i guess its because he's a record producer, he also gives CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Paula is nice, but honestly, its needed in this show, most of us only dream of humiliating ourselves like the contestants and they hear a lot of bad things being said about them so its good that there's someone to throw them a bone once in a while. my honest opinion about simon is that he's a douchebag with no taste in music, he thinks there's only one type of a good a voice (yelling apperantly), and if you take good notice you can see he often shifts his opinion according to the public. also, he does not give good critisim,"do better" is not a critic.

I like Simon because he says what he means. He doesn't candy coat things. Paula is too nice. Randy is alright.

Simon...he might say it in a mean manner but he's honest. Paula only repeats what Randy has to say.

simon. Remember the episode earlier this season during additions, when he wasn't there in the begining? They had no one to tell the bad singers no. They need Simon, and while he may be a little blunt, hes truthful.
