They are both nowhere near London relative to the size of England. A reasonably short journey though, still.

Oxford Brookes was formerly a Polytechnic. A polytechnic was half way between a college and a Uni. In the mid 90's, all Poly's were given University status.

Oxford Uni and Oxford Brookes are two completely separate institutions, so the graduation ceremonies would be different. Sorry I cant help you with the dates but google the website and Im sure it will tell ya

No, they are completely different and nowhere near London. They are both, unsurprisingly, located in the City of Oxford, about an hours drive to the West of London (56 miles).

Oxford University is the one for which Oxford became famous. It was founded in the 13th century and basically IS the centre of the city of Oxford. The majority of the 39 colleges which make up the uni are located around the city centre. It is the one with all the history and prestige. See the first two links below in the source box.

Oxford Brookes is the lesser-known of Oxford's two universities and its main campus is situated on Headington Hill, just outside the old centre of Oxford. Until around 1992, it was known as Oxford Polytechnic. See the last two links in the source box.

Dates of graduation vary and you'll have to know the course and year of study to find the exact dates. Check out the websites...

Good luck....

Yes, they are entirely separate institutions but I wouldn't apply to either to study Geography if you think Oxford's "somewhere round near London!"
