Straight red card=3 game match.

Scholes has been essential to our team's success. What do we do for the next 3 matches without him?

Giggsy looked good in the middle last year, and I think he could very well fit in well with Carrick with Park on the left. That is one option.

Other options are Fletcher and O'Shea with Carrick.

Finally, the one I think would be most interesting would be for the upcoming FA Cup clash after the UCL game with Lillle. I think we should play Saha and Larrson upfront, Giggs and Ronaldo on the wings with a deep lying Carrick and a central Wayne Rooney.

Would be interesting to see if he can be the playmaker to eventually fill a void when Scholes leaves.

At the very least, if it works, Smith might get some work in one of our two Premiership games without Scholes.

What do you think Man Utd should do?

Lampard, Scholes is not injured, he is red cared.

According to MOTD, Rooney just needed stiches, so he should be ready to go against Lille.

Mel:

I am not talking about the FA Cup Finals, I am talking about United's FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough.

scholesy is massive lost for man utd. lucky for alonso to escape a another booking (and therefore a red card).

ronaldo or giggs may move in. park will have to play the left wing.

if ronaldo or giggs stay at the wing, fletcher has to step up. man utd has really no other options than park and fletcher. o'shea can be a defensive midfielder but he is good coming out from the bench.

it may also be good to give more games to smithy in view of the looming departure of larsson. saha is always dangerous coming as sub. he showed that last night. i'd like to see how rooney playing as playmaker workout.

I think we will get Hargreaves in the summer to replace Scholes. In the mean time I think we have to give some players a rest in the FA cup game I would play Saha and Larrson up front but I would give Rooney and Ronaldo the day off. In the midfield I would have Carrick, Fletcher, Park, and Giggs. Although Park makes me nervous I think we have to play the fringe players in the FA cup. I think we will miss Scholes but we can win without im.

I think Ferguson should play Ronaldo in the centre with Fletcher on the right.
He can also put Giggs in the centre with Park Ji Sung on the left.
He can even have Rooney in an attacking mid-fielder role with Saha and Solskjaer up front
