Through the election process,how was an Elite Government setup??

did you watch bush get "elected" ? he who has the gold makes the rules. it also helps when the people you govern are a bunch of mindless sheep.

I believe an elite govt. is the result of re-electing the same people over and over! They set up a system where the speaker delegates committee chairmen based on seniority. Well, we all know how that works in industry, unions, etc. It fosters undue influence by the speaker and committee appointments and promotions based on undue influence (power). That's how hacks too long in office can screw up the government. They become problem makers and not solvers. Unfortunately, in a highly complicated society, elected morons become elitists or they are tolerated because of their seniority. It's like the mob.

Candidates for sure come from upper class strata of society Only those wealthy and had gained popularity has the change to be elected. its the game of the rich, so to speak.
