I believe that the only reason why a lot of people like scary movies is for the thrill of it. To get that feeling were you know that preson would be okay, but then still scared that they wont make it. To have the security of believing that it can never happen to you, whatever is happening in the movie.

It depends on the horror movie. Some have really great twists and stories. Others are just gore.

its a safe way to feel terror.....many people watch movies to put themselves into different shoes...it's not exciting or entertaining to watch a movie that's like your own life (for some people), they want to escape to a different reality. i guess in a way (a long stretch of a way...) it's the same as people who like roller coasters....to feel the thrill of extreme danger, yet to know you're actually (well in the case a roller coasters, HOPEFULLY) safe.

you must not like thrillers either... there r 2 types of horror:
1) bloody gore
2) make-u-jump scary
if you dont like the feeling either, then your probably a funny person........ not saying that people who like scary movies are emo..... some are, just like comedy
