Someone I loved dearly died 5 years ago tonight. How can I best honor the memory?

I may sound trite, but honour in your heart. FEEL all the reasons you loved this person, close your eyes & think how wonderful it is that you had the opportunity to love this person. If you like "rituals" (I do) light a candle, a very special candle you never lit before. I had a friend who planted an azeala (sp) in her yard in remembrance. & I just feel compelled to say, don't feel "sad." Feel enriched. You never "lose" someone you loved. They'll come to mind at the most unpredictable moments, & you'll SMILE. Forever.

Remember the good times. Laugh at funny moments and also a moment of silence wouldn't hurt. I have said a prayer for you. I lost someone very dear to me 15 years ago on july 5th and that's how I remember them.

I am so sorry to hear that, the best way to honor him/her is to reflect on the good and bad times. just never forget them. They have played a big part in your life, and if you remember them, they will always be apart of your life.
