Turn on the radio, what do you hear?
Songs of love, making it in the rain
and then songs of the breaking and the pain.
But I’m not like those people who found love,
dancing in the drizzle, and kissing oh-so-wrong.
I just want some love, and I just a song.

So here’s a song for the misplaced
and a song for the waiting,
because I’m sure I can’t be alone.
A song for the hurt who were pushed around.
And song for the ones who are waiting
waiting for the sweet elixir called love.

“I remember you’re gentle touch and kiss,”
that’s all you ever hear of nowadays,
makes me want to throw my life away.
All I want is someone to realize
all I want is the sense that I belong,
that’s why I want love, and I want a song.

So here’s a song for the misplaced
and a song for the waiting,
because I’m sure I can’t be alone.
A song for the hurt who were pushed around.
And song for the ones who are waiting
waiting for the sweet elixir called love.

((Here's the rest of it))

So I sat there dreaming and waiting
for him, my knight, to come a take me
and whisper in my ear, who I was meant to be.
So where is he at? Where did he go?
I’ve been here thinking for so long.
That’s why I wrote a song.

So here’s a song for the misplaced
and a song for the waiting,
because I’m sure I can’t be alone.
A song for the hurt who were pushed around.
And song for the ones who are waiting
waiting for the sweet elixir called love.

People are saying that I shouldn't post it here if I don't want people stealing it. By the way, it is copyrighted - sort of, on a site. So yep!

Oh, and another thing. (Wow, can't stop adding details) I don't have any music written for this, so feel free to make music up in your mind.
Cheers!

It needs work it is like you just wrote some thing to pass your time!!! Are you secretly a goth you are talking about killing yourself and stuff just because you might be ugly and no one likes you!!!!!!=)
Why would you kill yourself just because every one hates you and you can never get some...
By the way why would you show people that song when any one could steal it and get famous for that goth song...(by the way check vanilla face=) even though you feel like this if it happens =( !!!)
p.s. i did not even read all of it the first part sucked and i dont ever want to hear, read, see ,of smell that dumb song ever again dont ever do that song again i might have nightmares of you singing that to me

It is a good song, but unfortunately I am tone deaf so I cannot hear the music (in my mind). The only thing that I find a little awkward is the use of 'waiting' three times in the chorus.

First of all, if your worried about someone stealing your lyrics, why not try showing it to your friends or family first, instead of some strangers that can take it and go get it copyrighted before you do (duh). and second, the other people are telling you how much they like it because they want the points. third, it is wayyyyyy too long :)
Its decent, but the 'sweet elixir' part is kind of cheesy

That's pretty cool.... I'll write music for it if you want. I lie ksongs that speak like that, and yeah, I'm one of those misplaced... you're not alone. ha!

but I AM the knight... I want a squire........ I'm a total femninst and I hate conformist ideals... I don't respect housewives, but not househusbands either. lol, I'm such a hypocrite.... but you didn't need to know that.

punctuation's not all that important in song, but I would maybe watch yours, a little.....

Wow. That is so good. I write a little myself. Here's a little something that I wrote(only the chorus part)

I love you
I need you
I want you by my side
Someone to hold close by
I see you
I feel you
And I see you right close by
And when we're side by side
I start to cry
'Cause I love you
-------------------------------------------------------------
See, mine sounds cheesy next to yours. I have more, but I'm not gonna put 3 more songs on here. Well, keep it up, you might become a writer like me!

p.s.i write more that songs, I write poems, and I published some of them. Maybe send me an email and I'll send you some of my poems!

Works for me. Next find/make some music and try to fit it all together.

I once let a friend of mine read some of the poems I'd write for the hell of it. She put 2 of them to music and I was amazed at how easily she did it. They sounded alright. (So hard to judge your own work, you know.)

I love it. Depends on the genre but this would make a great poem. Keep up the good work.
