The best way to curb anger is to keep your mind and body in a relaxed state. Spend some time each day doing something that leaves you feeling both good and peaceful, turn something you love into a hiatus away from the distracting emotions that shake up your mental health. If you can't find the time each day, make the time!
As to why it is happening, who knows? It could have to do with diet, sleep, exercise, relationships, or even hormones caused by menopause (if you're that age), etc. It could also be that something unresolved has been nagging at you in the back of your mind, even unconsciously, and your temperament towards that is bleeding through into your outlook on other things. If that's the case, you'll feel alot better if you get that monkey off your back.

I dont think its bipolar like many are saying. Bipolar has highs and lows (mania and depression). An episode of mania or depression can last months, but doesnt fluctuate within minutes or hours.
Can be an imbalance caused by hormones and/or diet. There are many factors to consider in order to find out what exactly is wrong. Best thing to do is speak to your physician and see what he/she suggests.

hey dont worry you are not alone in this world... i and many other of my pals all say that they suffer from minor-severe mood swings. i think it is very common w/ many people now adays! but if it made you feel anybetter, perhaps you should confront someone who deals with that emotional stuff just to make sure~ but dont worry i dont think you are bipolar. tis very normal. perhaps you are overstressed with things and maybe you get a lot of crap on your mind and than just get really angry. you can take my adivce or leave it, whatever flots your boat! :) Sing your heart out

i was like that for a long time. turns out i am clinically depressed. i take anti-depressants now. mood swings-gone. that may not be the case with you but it's worth mentioning to your doctor. living like that is no picnic. if there is something out there that will help you feel better, check it out.

I'd have to go with both of them above and say "stressed out"? If so, talk with a therapist or do stuff to relax you. Don't under go so much stress.

Seek professional help. Could be bipolar disease or hormones, or stress. You should get checked, or it may just get progressively worse.
Good Luck!
