Because that is what nature and society decided we should all do.
I don't mind the eating and sleeping - it's working that I could do without.

We work because we need the money to buy food and
a house or bed to sleep in. We sleep so that we may be
fit to work and we eat so that we have energy to work. If
you really work hard you may even afford a wife.
