I have basically one real friend, who still has some issues sometimes, my dog is the most loyal companion I have, and I hang out with my dad more than anyone..I feel extremely lonely sometimes. I feel unloved..hate to complain, just feeling numb is all.

You have to find the strength inside you, being a pack animal is not always the answer, and it's your inner strength, if you think about it, that attracts others. Everyone has it, you just need to find it. Never dismiss the friendship of a good dog. Don't try being something you are not just to fit in, real friends accept you for who you are and are glad to see you. You can have disagreements with friends or relatives, the diference is disagreements won't sever your ties if they really are your friends (relatives you are stuck with). We all feel the same way as you at some point, the answer is don't spend too much time brooding about it, might better spend that time with your dog.

My philosophy;y has always been that you only need one good friend. A best friend.

Any more is redundant.
