'From A Distance' - suggesting that everything looks peaceful and calm and harmonious from a distance. Then it goes on to say 'God is watching us - from a distance' suggesting that he has no idea of what is really going on.
'The Rose' - beautiful lyrics that are quite straighforward in meaning and are not difficult to interpret.
Both sung by Bette Midler.
Also in the song 'I Just Called to say I Love You' the song takes us through a whole year from New Year's Day to Christmas, all in the order in which the events occur. Valentine's Day, Easter, Summer, Hallowe'en, etc.etc.
