My family don't understand me because I never had any relationship with a girl. Yes, I hope I were a straightman, so I could fall in love with a girl easily, but I cann't, and I couldn't cheat myself and hang out with a girl.
I am a good looking guy, and I have been nice to everyone, but I have no friend that I can talk to and reveal my true self. I am so alone, so I busied myself with study, I tried to forget everything, but this only made people treat me as a classic nerd. Is there anything wrong to be a guy who loves reading books and is not a big fan of sports?
I am so desperate.

Sweety, You are PERFECT don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Unfortunately your fabulous self will not be appreciated until you accept yourself and acknowledge it. Not necessarily come out of the closet but live like you want to live. I lived most of my life pretending to be someone else because i was highly criticized for who i was growing up. I bought into it and hated myself and anyone that acted like my rue self. I became a very quiet girl without any personality. I was afraid to be myself because i was afraid to be hated and criticized once more. Turns out the moment i decided to love myself and just be who i was and express myself the way i wanted to, i started to make real friends and people actually began to like me ( instead of hate me like i thought they would). So if there's anything you take away from my answer it is, love yourself and be that self. you are PERFECTLY alright just the way that you are.
Goodluck

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being gay and a nerd. I am a HUGE nerd and just started coming out to some of my friends. They were way more accepting and loving than I ever expected. It proved to me that I really need to learn to have more faith in other people. I had dated a few girls, but the relationships were always a bit off. I knew it and so did they. I'm still a huge pop-culture retarded nerd and proud of it. I'm also gay and becoming more proud day by day.

Read one or both of these 2 comics. Email me if they interest you at all.

www.raccoony.com (Closet Coon)
www.liondogworks.com (Furpiled)

There is a large fan base out there for the furry community. It's somewhat nerdy and overflowing with gay/bi people who are very much out of the closet. Everyone, including straight people, are incredibly accepting of GLBTs within the group. You sound like someone who would definately fit in and get a fulfilling enjoyment from it. Those 2 comics exposed me to the furry community and I was able to come out because of it. I have so many close friends as well all over the country.

There's nothing wrong with being a gay and a nerd. Being gay just means that you like other guys, and being considered a nerd means that you are smart enough to know what you want out of life and know how to achieve it.

You sound like an incredible young man. keep reading and just keep being yourself. Things will happen for you when they are ready, don't be in a rush. Str8 or gay, they are both a pain in the a** when your growing up because so many people will lie to you just to get you in bed. Don't forget, YOU own your body and life, be very careful what you do with it and with whom. Guy or gal doesn't matter..

No there's nothing wrong to be a gay and a nerd. That's just how you are and why should you change to make other people feel better, maybe you could speak to a counsellor or something about your feelings...

no, there is nothing wrong with it. I know a lot of gay guys who say that they would never date a jock, because they have such a big ego. if you want to get some friends, you have to be yourself, dont hide anything.
