You should not have to diet at 14... that is an age where most people retain extra weight... I know i did!! I was larger at 14 and I became really thin around 18-19 without dieting.
If you still want to diet, though, a good way to do it is to eat smaller portions and always leave food behind on your plate. Do not eat more than the serving size recommended for anything. 3 meals a day, no snacking in between!! Only drink water... and I'm sure you've heard before- eat fruits/vegetables, cut out sugar and extra fatty foods.
Also, if you combine eating less with moving more, your results will be even more effective.

just be active and try to eat healthy by eating in moderation.
that is the best diet for anyone to follow. there is no reason for a 14 year old to be on a diet. you are still growing and your body is still changing.

I think that all depends on how over weight your fourteen year old is and their body mass. But other than that, you should really consult the child's physician BEFORE starting them on a diet. The physician will be able to tell you what nutritional methods and excersise methods are best for your child.

At that age, weight shouldn't be a major concern, you're still young, growing and developing. Just eat helthy, go for fruit instead of cookies, get active play sports while you can. but treat yourself to junk food once in a while

just eat a well balanced died (all of the food groups) and normal portions of each (eg not 8 scrambled eggs for breakfast). make sure you eat lots of fruits and veggies, and drink plenty of water. you don't need to be on a diet at 14, you just need to eat a healthy, well rounded diet.

Unless you are extremely overweight, I suggest you just eat sensibly and avoid junk food and a lot of sugar. If you are overweight, visit your doctor or a dietitian and they will help you find a diet suitable for your age.

You are so young! But avoid SODA, junk food, lots of meat, chips, oily stuff, FAST FOOD, candy, desserts and lots of water. Make sure you are eating every day in good proportions.
