Like...best player? Or...most popular player?

Probably LaDainian Tomlinson anyway....

Peyton Manning is the guy the NFL markets the most. He is the face of the NFL. LaDainian Tomlinson is the BEST player in football right now, he won the MVP and his team had the best regular season record. They are both well known, but I think more average, casual football watchers would know Peyton Manning if they saw him walking down the street. Thats because he's in so many commercialsand won the Super Bowl, that even non football watchers know him.

The best player ever would be Jim Brown, without a doubt.

LaDanian Tomlinson of the SD Chargers, and I say this even though I'm a Giants fan. LT can break a game open like a good QB both w/ a huge run or a reception, heck he's even thrown a few TDs on trick plays. Also take into consideration that last year his team was 14-2 w/ a rookie QB and the previous 2 seasons he helped Drew Brees make his mark at QB w/ 2000+ yards from scrimmage each year. With him in the backfield the passing game definitely opens up.

Right now it is Peyton Manning. Records, more records, and even more records get broken by this guy. He was Super Bowl MVP, and he restructered his contract in the off season. That to me is a complete player.

Best of all time. I would say Jim Brown or Jerry Rice. Rice has all the important records at one position in WR and is just honest and nice and rarely talked trash.

Jim Brown was a franchise in his own. He won MVP and Rookie of the Year in the same year and he has another 7 MVP honors. Whether it be probowl, or the regualr season MVP this guy is a legend and a force. He played 8 years and had 8 900+ rushing yard seasons and had 6 1000+ rushing yard seasons. He was smart to end his career after 8 years, because he would have been like Earl Campbell, another legend, but crippled for life.

Peace.

Right now, LT is the man... If you ask a football fan.

If you ask a casual fan, it will be Peyton Manning - Superbowl MVP.

If you ask somebody with little interest in football, they will answer Favre or Brady.

But the greatest of all time, Jim Brown or John Madden.

there is more to being a star than numbers. LT and payton manning has good numbers, that only makes them good players. to be a star, people have to be talking about you.Terrell Owen is the biggest atar, because people still talk about him even when hes not doing good

im going to have to go with payton manning on this one because of his play on the field as well as his behavior off the field. when i think of a star in pro sports i think of someone who not only plays well, but also is a respectable person and a role model for kids. causing commotion and not getting along with players and coaches along with breaking the law does not make for a star in sports. payton manning is a perfect example of a star in that he helps out in the community and is a perfect role model for kids, and also tears it up on the field.

That's a tough one. I would say it's a three way tie between LT, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.
