Elizabath Bathory was a real women, I have books and books with actual primary and secondary information in it. Was she a vampire NO, did she drink blood and kill pheasants oh yeah, as she convicted and sentenced to a tower that was sealed shut, you betcha. I did a report on her actually, there is this great new book out that is about her.
She didn't "lure" anyone, she gave them jobs in her castle all proper like and then she would start to drink blood and such only after her hair was pulled and she slapped the girl combing it and the blood got on her hand and she thought that it looked younger, and that was the start, yes she took baths in blood, and her husband helped her with the torturing too.

Count Dracula, forgive the spelling, was real as well. He was not a vampire. He was however wicked and crazy. Belief that power can be gained from a victim's blood or body is not new. In some ancient societies, the loser of a war became dinner. On a side note, the Count Dracula was not as evil as many believe. He was indeed crazy, but he did what he thought was good. Horrifying to know that people can believe such actions are good.

In what way?
And Jack, you're totally right, I was born in Transilvania and it sickens me what they made of Vlad Tzepesh or Count Dracula as he gained this title from his enemies, because he impailed the wrong doers. He was administering drastic punnishment and believe it or not, people in his days were drinking water from the wells from a golden cup, no kidding! Nobody dared to steal it... anyways... my two cents.

She was definitely a real person, but I think that the mythology surrounding her is false. I don't think that she was a vampire, and I also don't think that her spirit could be conjured like it was in that movie "Stay Alive".

I think her existence is pretty well documented. She wasn't a vampire, but she was a real person.

Oh yeah, she was a whacko. She would lure young maidens to her home, kill them, drain their blood into her bathtub and that is how she bathed, she killed over a hundred people (IDK the exact #). Where the term 'blood bath' came from.
