You don't know how many people have asked this question. As far as we know, the world can blow up and everyone can die. Many people say: "Ooh! I heard somewhere that Ron's gonna die! It's true!!!" You do not know that for sure, you guys. I do not believe that Jo Rowling would kill off the beloved character, but it is possible. She mentioned in an interview that it would be nice to kill Harry off. So it is a possibility. I hear many people saying:
"If Voldemort dies, Harry has to die!"
That is so not true. We all know that Voldemort has to die- or be punished severely (there is not a big enough punishment for all the wickedness he has caused).
The people that I think might die:
Snape
Draco
Voldemort
One of the Weasleys (Not exactly sure on this one)
We all know that Snape turned evil again and we knew it at the very begging of book six, but the real question is- is he faking it? And will Harry really go back to Hogwarts? We will find out on July 21.

I wish we knew but we don't. Sense Voldemort and Harry can't be alive together anymore I am really hopeing that Harry will live. I know JKR has said that she doesn't want to leave the book so other books could be made about Harry but the last chapter of the book explains what happens to all of the characters that live.
All though I do not think Harry will die I do believe he will come close to dying or be mortally wounded during the final battle. It would make sense. Every book something like that happens. I just really hope he lives so we can at least image what happens until he does die of old age.

Either Harry or Voldemort has to die because of the prophecy
(See book 5 for this info)
My money is on Voldemort since his soul was split into 7 parts. Harry is working on destroying them all. Six were hidden, the seventh is him. (who shall not be named)
On the other hand, Harry's death would be most unexpected, since most think voldemort will die. personally, as much as I love Harry's character, it would be fitting for him to die since it is the last book.

I think that Harry won't die. I say that the two good people that are going to die are Chow Chang and one of Ron's parents will die. Why J.K gotta kill everyone in each book?

yes, I do. And mostly because I think it's going to turn out that Voldemort cannot survive without Harry...therefore, Harry cannot survive without Voldemort. If they are able to rid the world of Voldemort, Harry will be gone also.
(and since JK Rowling said she doesn't want anyone else to take over the series and write books with Harry in them, I do think he has to go). I will hate to see the end of Harry!!!!

harry and voldemort can not continue to exist together, one must die for the other to live, period, as it was stated in book five. I am pretty sure a weasley will die, remember this was sorta hinted at in book five as well. I am sad to say lupin may die as he will take it upon himself to go after greyback. for the record we do NOT know that snape is evil, remember he was a double agent before he can be a double agent now. we will all know soon enough how it all draws to a close, this july!!!!!!!!

while JKR has confirmed that there will definately not be another HP book after book 7, i don't think she would kill off harry.
I read somewhere that book 1 made references to what would happen in book 7... so i read book 1 and didnt find squat... except.. where dumbledore explains why snape hated him. james and snape had always been rivals "much like you and draco malfor" and one day "James did something that severus could never forigve. He saved his life." i wonder if thats going to repeat itself and harry will have to save malfoy..
oh.. and snape is not evil. =p

No I don't. I think he is too important for the whole story, I believe it will be one of his friends that die, like Hermone (not sure if that is how it's spelt) as they have a real connection. I therefore think that will break Harry's spirit and he'll decide he no longer wants to study wizardry

No, of course not. I think it would be silly if JKR would do that. Just think at how much she earns out of these books. If I was to earn that much, I'd keep writing for like what? Forever? She would definitely not kill off her popularity and source of ENORMOUS income.
