Not everyone thinks that. You only here those because it makes the news, etc. If someone disagrees with someone else and they don't have a good argument against them, they usually will insult the individual rather then give an intelligent argument. Like calling Rosie fat, Rush fat, O'Reilly a Nazi, Nancy Pelosi a communist, etc., etc.
One other thing. Once things like this take place, people act like lemmings and jump on the bandwagon and start repeating the same insults over and over without really giving it much thought. I guess they think it makes them look smart and hip to agree with others.

Probably because they are paying more attention to her looks
than to what she's saying. The View was boring until she got
there. Rosie & Joy are both my favorites, they are honest,
intelligent & aren't afraid to say what they are feeling.

I do not call her any of those names [or any others] but I do not like her. She is overbearing, she is too opinionated, and dominates all conversations. It's like when she is in a room there is no room [to talk] for anyone else. I like The View better when she is not on.

Because people are afraid of things they don't understand. Rosie happens to be brilliant.and what other people may not like is her ability to say things that are on her mind, instead of just keeping thoughts to herself.

i like her. she is kinda like simon cowell. she speaks her mind. it kinda sucks that they give her such a hard time. i cant stand that elisabeth girl, she is soooo stupid.
