Many factors have to be considered here. How long have you been in this relationship? Is the cheating a 'one-off' or has it been going on long-term? Do you and your partner feel that this relationship is worth saving? Are there children involved? Because of all these things this question is not an easy one to answer. What caused your partner to cheat on you? Is it a breakdown in communication? Does your partner feel that her needs are not being met and is looking for this elsewhere? You will both have to discuss all these issues and depending on the answers then make a decision on whether you break up or stay together. It is definitely possible to rebuild a relationship after something like this - but it will require hard work and a willingness from both of you to make it work. If you truly love each other then it's worth giving it a try - but if the commitment is not there for either one of you then it might be better to call it quits. If there are children involved may I just say that it's better to come from a broken home than to live in one.
