Because over time, the cavewoman assimilated into the culture, they had too for survival, so only elements of cavewoman-ness are apparent today..women with mustaches, bulky woman, etc. However, cavemen, being they are "men", are stubborn so no they wouldn't assimilate, let allow take directions when they are lost. And the only reason we have cavemen is because they carry that recessive gene that carries with it all of its caveman-ness --- kinda like the wolfman and vampire genes. :-)
